In this Centred Gallery Visit, Andres Garzon takes us through Hunter Gatherer, now showing at McIntosh Gallery. Curated by Helen Gregory, this exhibition features work by Nicholas Crombach, Emily Jan, Phillipa Jones, and Meryl McMaster.
This body of work discusses hunting and gathering in the context of the gallery, with a specific look at the animal body. Analyzing power, colonialism, collection, and death through extensive art historical reference, this show brings together relevant and compelling ideas about the past and present.
